South-east of the Kingdom of Morocco, Marzouga, which is dubbed « Sea of Sand » by the tourists. For three days, our convoys will guide you around the magical golden sands of Marzouga and enjoy camel rides to watch the sunset and sunrise.
Our journey starts from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges. Travel through the Atlas Tizi Tichka Pass (2260m), with stunning views of the mountains from the top of the pass. We continue to enjoy our trip to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, an amazing fortified village. We have lunch at Ait Ben Haddou and continue to the Dades Gorges after passing from Qal'at Megouna, where there is the valley of roses, famous for its Rose Festival held in May. We spend the night in Dades Gorges.
After breakfast we start our journey where we stopped to Marzouka, but before that we will visit Tingir, famous for Todra Gorges. We will also pass several villages such as Tinjdad (lunch place), Jarf and Erfoud, where we will see the beginning of the desert oasis of Tafilalet and then continue to Marzouga. After relaxing for a while, we go to the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the dunes. It is an overnight camel trip into the incredible Erg Chebbi dunes – the highest dunes in Morocco, which will be the chance to watch and take amazing pictures of the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents.
Waking up early in the morning, in order to see the sunrise and its reflection in the sand dunes, we go back to Merzouga to have breakfast and take a shower. Continue through the Draa Valley and the Amazigh village of Agdez to reach Ouarzazate and visit the Taourirt Kasbah, it was built in the 17th century by the Glow tribe. Enjoy the exterior architecture of the monument. Crossing the Atlas chain you will take the road to Marrakech safely and comfortably to your hotel in the evening.
